Spend quality time with your daughter while learning an important life skill – how to stay safe. Using real-world scenarios teens connect with practical self-defense strategies and physical karate techniques. Open to everyone age 12+.

This is NOT your typical self-defense course. This is a highly-interactive, full-day experience taught in a physically- and emotionally-safe environment. The workshop will be a combination of physical practice, partner drills and lively discussion. Oh yeah – we’re going to have (serious) fun!

What you will learn:

  • Understanding the most dangerous things teens do
  • A simple mental framework to evaluate if a situation could be dangerous
  • How to employ simple every-day self-defense strategies and be more street smart
  • Simple karate techniques that you can use under pressure

This special workshop is taught by senior instructor Neville Loberg, who brings more than 40 years’ experience to the classroom. Material covered in class is age-appropriate, however participants must be age 12+ to participate.


$200 in advance per parent / daughter team – or $250 day of

Doors open at 9:30am – workshop starts promptly at 10:00am. Kindly arrive early to sign in and pay at the door if needed. Cold drinking water provided – wear loose sports clothing / gym shoes – no other special equipment needed. We’ll take a hour break for lunch – bring a bag lunch or visit one of the 2-3 places nearby.
