More Information

The seminars and tournament are open to all martial artists age 12+ with permission of your instructor. All karate styles are invited with the exception of BJJ- and MMA-focused disciplines.

The Demonstration portion of the tournament will be a un-judged, non-competitive display for individual or teams to offer their best to the audience. Traditional forms, team forms, weapons demonstrations, and breaking allowed.

The Forms portion of the tournament will be a judged competition by a panel of instructors.

  • They will be looking for clean technique, correct speed, use of energy/power, and of course spirit and presence. One judge – of the competitor’s same karate style – will serve as judge over technical accuracy.

The Sparring portion of the tournament will see competitive matches aligning to age and rank in 2-minute rounds. Full gear required and light, controlled contact allowed for advanced competitors.
